Maria's Story

As a ninth grader, with little support from home, my days were filled with working harder at staying out of trouble

Through United Way’s mentoring programs, I found the encouragement and support to stay in school, improve my grades, and respect myself.

My goal after graduation is to attend community college. than working hard in school.
