Camp

The YMCA is a leader in community youth development programs. Our camps provide care for children ages 3 to 13 and allow children to explore, learn, and grow. Campers will enjoy sports, play, and arts while they develop character and confidence. Financial assistance is always available to those of need in our community (scroll down to learn more). Discovery Camp

This camp is for the curious and playful pre-schooler! It is a half-day program held in our Hope Mills YMCA PREP Academy (3910 Ellison Street, Hope Mills, NC). The YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are at the heart of every youth program. Campers will enjoy activities themed around music, crafts, imaginative play, team sports, and swimming! A healthy snack is provided each week and spots are limited to 50 campers.

Location: Hope Mills Branch YMCA
Ages: 3-5 years (campers can be enrolled in 1st grade for 2015/2016)

*Campers must be fully toilet-trained and not wearing pull-ups.

Hours: Weekdays, 8:30am-12:00pm at Hope Mills


Day Camp

YMCA Day Camp is for school-aged children who want an active and adventurous summer experience. Campers will learn new games and skills, develop confidence, and build lasting friendships throughout the Y community. Each week is themed and includes daily projects, games and outside activities, a field trip, summer learning loss prevention, swimming and more!

Location: Fayetteville Branch YMCA, Hope Mills Branch YMCA, North Branch YMCA (drop-off and pickup only)

Ages: 6-13 years (campers can be enrolled in 1st-7th grade for 2016/2017)

Hours: AM Drop Off begins at 7:00am unil 8:30am

PM Pick Up begins at 4:30pm until 6:00pm

Travel Camp (3rd grade to 8th grade)


Highland Day Camp- Serving Sanford, NC

ASYMCA Day camp is for school-aged children who want an active and adventurous summer experience. Campers will learn new games and skills, develop confidence, and build lasting friendships throughout the Y community. Each week is themed and includes daily projects, games and outside activities, a field trip, summer learning loss prevention, swimming and more!

Open Doors and BRIDGE programs

The YMCA is honored to offer a nurturing, safe and fun environment for all families in need.

BRIDGE PROGRAM: New to the Fayetteville community in 2016, single parents attending fulltime school may apply for free childcare services to serve their eligible dependents. To read more about the Bridge Program initiative, click here. If you are interested in financially supporting the Bridge Program, please contact a Branch Director at (910) 426-9622 to donate.

OPEN DOORS: Our year-round financial assistance program called "Open Doors" may be applied for at any YMCA branch by submitting the following documents for all household adults:

  • current year tax form (1040 or proof of non-filing)
  • two most recent paycheck stubs or unemployment award letter
  • verification of government assistance (SNAP benefits, housing subsidy, etc.)
  • verification of student loan/grant income
  • verification of other private assistance (community organizations, churches, etc.)

Partnering With the Community!

The YMCA and the Cape Fear Botanical Garden partner together to provide "Yoga in the Garden" every Wednesday evening at 6 PM. Classes take place at the Botanical Garden and are free to both YMCA and Botanical Garden members. Call (910) 486-0221 to register ahead of time.


Kids Night Out

FALL Program Launch for KNO is September 16, and regularly has activities on the third Saturday!


PREP Preschool Care at the HOPE MILLS Y BRANCH

8:30am- 12:00pm Monday ~ Friday, 2 1/2 - 5 years of age who are potty-trained. MEMBER cost: $39/week, Non-Member cost: $49/week. Registration Fee $35 per Non-Member. Program features ABeka, Montessori, sports-play, healthy snack, social skills, Bible Verses, monthly field trips and more.
