YMCA of the Sandhills

Home School PE Program

Join us NOW: Fall Semester starts SEPTEMBER 5, Tuesday! The YMCA is a great place for youth to begin learning about physical activity and healthy eating standards. Y staff will lead participants in how to maintain a healthy, active lifestyle over the course of their lives. We recognize the need for a well-rounded Home School Physical Eduction Program within the Fayetteville area, given the large homeschooling community. The goal of the program is not just to teach your child healthy habits, but also develop confidence by learning new skills, build positive relationships that foster teamwork, and nurture the whole potential of your child.

The program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours, with the first hour being spent in the gymnasium, followed by 1 hour in the swimming pool. Gym activities will include fundamentals skills for sports such as soccer, flag football, basketball and tennis. In the pool, children will partake in water exercises, water games, and free swim lead by Y staff.

Location: Fayetteville YMCA, 2717 Fort Bragg Road
Days/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm-3:00pm

Both the Fitness Center equipment and pool are free to home school parents while you are on site during the program.
