YMCA of the Sandhills

Home School PE Program

Join us NOW: Fall Semester starts SEPTEMBER 5, Tuesday! The YMCA is a great place for youth to begin learning about physical activity and healthy eating standards. Y staff will lead participants to learn methods to maintain a healthy active lifestyle over the course of their lives. We recognize the need for a well-rounded Home School Physical Education Program within the Fayetteville area, given the large homeschooling community. The goal of the program is to teach your child both respect for healthy habits, and also to develop confidence by learning new skills, building positive relationships that foster teamwork, and nurturing the whole potential of your child.

The program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday for 2 hours, with curricula including both gymnasium time and swimming pool-time. Gym activities will include fundamental skills for sports, such as soccer, flag football, basketball and tennis. In the pool, children will partake in water exercises, water games, and free swim, with Y staff leadership for all activities and curricula delivery.

Location: Fayetteville YMCA, 2717 Fort Bragg Road
Days/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00pm-3:00pm

Both the Fitness Center equipment and pool are free to home school parents while you are on site during the program.
